General information about Posture

Most of us actually have bad posture without even been aware of it. Posture complications or improper postures are very common issues that everybody faces but can easily be solved by following simple rules and guidelines. Posture problems is not a direct cause of illness but if left unattended for  a considerable time it could cause serious complications mostly to the back and neck.

What causes the occurrence of  a bad posture?

  • Staying in one position all day long.
  • Repeating the same movement over and over again every day.
  • Poor standing or sitting habits.
  • Weak supporting muscles such as the back, upper back, neck, and abdominals.

Tips for a better posture

  • Change your working chair and pay attention to how you sit on it: STRAIGHT!
  • Don’t stay in the same position for too long. Take a walk every now and then. A water break is a good way to do so.
  • Implement a training routine for the back (upper and lower), neck and abdominal muscles.
  • Build-up the habit of tucking-in your stomach.
